Multi-Platinum Artist Helps Spread The Message Of Peace And Celebrates This Year's Nobel Peace Prize Laureates In Front Of A Global Audience
Multi-Platinum recording artist, Paulina Rubio, performed at this year’s Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway, in a broadcast that will reach 550 million households worldwide. Along with esteemed artists from around the world, Paulina is lending her talents to promote the message of peace and celebrate 2006’s Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. Paulina sang her #1 hit single "Ni Una Sola Palabra" and performed with a 65 piece Norwegian Radio Orchestra for the English version of the Ric Wake produced "Mienteme Una Vez Mas."
"Im truly honored to participate in this very special concert and help spread the important message of peace around the world," said Paulina.
Paulina is the only Latin artist to take part in this rare event which featured performances by Lionel Richie, Rihanna, Simply Red, Wynonna, John Legend and others. Paulina’s performance at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert follows appearances last week on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the first Spanish language performance on the popular US music program CDUSA on Direct TV.
Paulina’s latest Spanish language album, ANANDA was released worldwide on September 18th, 2006 and has reached platinum status around the world. The first single "Ni Una Sola Palabra" has reached the #1 spot on radio in many Latin American countries, as well as the U.S. and Spain. It reached #1 on U.S. Billboard's "Hot Latin Tracks." The Latin Pop icon was recently named Spanish GQ’s 2006 Woman of the Year in Spain. Paulina will begin a world tour in February, 2007 and will reach the U.S. in May and June.
